High blood pressure

Hi all, just writing this as I’m curious if this has happened to anyone else and had their baby early! I started feeling unwell yesterday at 35+4-feeling sick, lightheaded and generally unwell along with slight reduced movements, did my bp at home and it was 155/99 so came to the hospital and baby started going crazy setting the monitor off 3 times! My blood pressure never went down and continued to climb so they kept me in overnight. They’ve been giving me lansoprazole and monitoring me every 4 hours but the diastolic number is still high. They’ve doctor did mention possibly inducing but not until 37 weeks and I need to come to the hospital every day for checks until I’m 37 weeks. Has anyone had a similar situation happen to them? Worried they will send me home with bp medication and then want to induce me around 37😅

This happened to me! I started Labetalol which bought my blood pressure down and was induced at 38 weeks. I’m now 5 weeks pp and my BP is still high, and I’m still taking the Labetalol which weekly GP reviews. Midwife originally said it can stay high until 6 weeks pp. I had to check my BP daily at home and call the hospital if it was over a certain number x

Oh wow really! It has been high before but never that high as last night…bp through the night and this morning has been fine but wanted to see if they would deffo be looking at inducing me based on other people’s experiences! I hope it goes down for you!🤞🏻

Hopefully it continues to go down for you and you don’t need any medication! 🤞

Hi, I had pregnancy induced high blood pressure from 25 weeks pregnant and was monitored weekly and on medication. I was induced at 39 weeks..they did say it would be earlier if needed to be! I then had high blood pressure for about 4 weeks post birth and had to go for a couple of checks a week too! :)

This happened to me but I had no symptoms and it was picked up at a routine appointment. I was put on labetalol and because it was working they booked an induction for the day after my due date. I was monitored every week and asked to check at home too

Hey! I went into hospital at 38 weeks because I was extremely dizzy, when I got there my blood pressure was 145/99 - they give me labetalol straight away. They wanted to induce me that same day, but I didn’t want an induction I didn’t feel well enough. I opt for a c section and had him at 38 plus 4 x After delivering my baby I was still on blood pressure tablets for approx 3 months until it stabilised x

I had a section at 38 weeks (she was breech too)
