Maternity allowance

Hi all, so I’ve been on mat leave for 2 weeks now. Due to not being at my job long enough I’m not entitled to their maternity pay, so I’ve had to go on maternity allowance. Thing is I haven’t received anything via post or email stating how much I’ll get. I know it roughly takes 20 days for a response but I feel like it’s longer. Does anyone have any suggestions on what to do? I was gonna look on the gov website to see if there’s any contact info to contact them with. Just panicking a little 😱😱

I did it through the post. I applied about 12 weeks before the baby is due, due to work taking forever to get it sorted for me. Thank you lovely, I’ll try and get a hold of them xx
The amount you will get depends on many of factors x mine took 8 days to respond then had to send another letter when I finished work but they will also back pay you from whichever date you wanted it to start xx

How did you apply did you fill the form in online or post it? I applied for mine and luckily heard back in just 4 days! You should get the standard £748 something a month I’m in the exact same situation. Also when did you apply? Have you also applied within the right amount of weeks before baby is due?
