Paternity pay

Hey! I'm just looking for some advice. My husband is entitled to 4 weeks off for paternity leave from his company but is not eligible for statutory paternity pay. Has anyone been offered anything else from the government? Or have any other advice for us?

Nothing here no. Mine only got 2 weeks and nothing extra. He's took 2 holiday weeks!

Stat paternity pay is £184.03 per week or 90% of your weekly earnings and gov only allow 2 weeks. As long as they have been with the company for at least 26weeks. Are you saying your husbands company does enhanced paternity pay or that they are paying him nothing. I know my work pays dads full pay for 2 weeks which means they arnt entitled to statutory paternity pay but they are better off

@Glynis he can get 4 weeks off from his company as he has been there for just over 26 weeks but cannot get statutory paternity because the qualifying period is over 26 weeks before 15 weeks before my due date. If that makes sense- it's so confusing lol

I would get him to speak to his HR team and see if they have a paid option if not he will have to use holidays. My hubbie only took the 2 weeks that was long enough to have him under ur feet as well. Others might try taking 2 weeks as sick leave or other reason or speak to Citizens advice

My husband didnt qualify- had to use annual leave and take some unpaid, theres no alternative unfortunately x
