Pregnant again!

Hey ladies, I’m so shocked, my daughter is 4.5 months old, following an emergency c section and I’m 8 weeks pregnant, we had tracked my cycle and used protection but clearly it’s not that accurate 😩! Has anyone had babies 12 months apart and is it really dangerous ? 🤰 Thanks 💕

There is a risk within the first year after a csection! You will be considered as high risk pregnancy, will have to have additional growth scans etc. you’ll also have to have a planned csection as it’s within the first 2 years of your previous csection. This is the care that I’ve been made aware for myself if I was to get pregnant within the next 9 months so I’m not sure if it’ll be different for you. Congratulations btw!💖 On another note, my cousin in law had a csection January 2023 with her little girl, her little man is due in July this year! She got pregnant 10 months pp, she has to have the same additional care as me too🥰xx

Thanks hun xx 😘

I'm 31 weeks along and my babies will be 13 months apart, my first was an emergency c section and I am not considered high risk, I am with midwives and have only had the normal tests and scans done

I got pregnant at 9 months pp and none of Libbys comment was true for me.. I was not considered a high risk pregnancy, did not have additional scans and was offered a vbac if I wanted one (which I didn’t) Best thing to do is speak to your hospital or midwife as nobody here knows the answer that’s personal to you.

Depends on you, your body n recovery hun. Each woman a pregnancy is different and unique. This best person to tell you is your midwive(s) - community or hospital and consultant or obstetrician. Or look on this like the nhs website or something but will be overall view n not as much detailed information as yiu May desire. My daughter is 3, I am 35 wks with a boy now and I thought wasnt considered high risk until the 12th of this month wen told I was by an obstitrian and a senior midwife was there in room to go thru why I was and next step in care and someone else (specificalist) will be doing the birth plan with me.

I had an emergency C-section with my son June 6th of last year. I got pregnant and am due June 7th of this year. Libby’s comment is 100% true for me. They definitely labeled me high risk, have monitored me closely with more appointments and have been told I can’t have a vbac and will have to have another C-section scheduled. My doctor told me not to worry but the time frame is way too short after a C-section not to label it high risk. I guess every doctor is different but I was told by my doctor there was absolutely no other route that I could have had with the timeframe I had .

My cousin in-law did. Her boys are now 14 and 15. She had a healthy pregnancy and recovered well after both deliveries

Being high risk.. are you allowed to fly ? Say around 15 weeks?

Can I ask what you used? If you're comfortable. I'm so scared to get pregnant again. I am just curious the failure rate of people's BC. I'm traumatized from my 1st birth.

I think it’s up to you to determine that. I know your doctor may have input but you know your body best. I’m 24 weeks + 2 and I’d say confidently that I wouldn’t be afraid to get on a plane at this time. I feel great honestly even if I’m labeled high risk but everyone is different. High risk is a medical term to describe traits you’re at risk for, not that you’re having a bad pregnancy! Remember that. :)

@Ciarra I’d don’t wanna scare or put anyone off but there are things that happened that shouldn’t of with my daughter 2021. And care after, this time round is very different - my cos I used my voice or j brought to a certain person attention I’m not entirely. There are many ways to get help, please don’t suffer in silence 🤐

My babies was 13 months apart both planned c sections and I was high risk the second time.. Both pregnancy's went absulutely fine and both planned c sections xx

I got pregnant after 6 months currently 21 weeks pregnant talk to your midwife about it. They will go through the concerns xx congratulations honey xx

I had 3 c sections in 2.5 years my two youngest are 12 months apart and share the same birthday 🎈 I’ll be having my 4th in august Honestly don’t get yourself worried about it just wait until you have spoken to the consultant x

I had a baby via c section December 2023 and had my second baby via another c section the end of last month. There is 13 almost 14 months between them. My pregnancy was absolutely fine apart from the usual aches and pains although I found this pregnancy a bit harder on my body (was told was due to having a baby to look after already and also having c section not long ago). Apart from that there are no risks or complications during pregnancy at all! So please don’t stress. I was consultant led for both pregnancies and my consultant told me not to worry about being pregnant so soon. He just said he didn’t recommend I had a VBAC because of the risk of my scar rupturing during labour. So he recommended elective c section. I accepted the c section (always wanted a VBAC if we had another baby but because they were so close I didn’t want to risk it - this baby was a happy accident lol) anyways after my c section the dr who did it said that my scar was really thin etc and could’ve ruptured

In labour and I defo made the right choice! So basically just don’t stress during pregnancy at all. But defo listen to your consultants if they suggest another c section 🩷 your going to be amazing! It’s so hard being pregnant with such a little one already but ommmggg it’s so worth it 🩷 xxx

I had my first born was born via Emergency C-section 38w +6d 10 lbs 4oz in 2023. I got pregnant with my second while my first was 4.5 months. We use protection and only did it once. I had my second came 38w+4d at 9 lbs 1oz C-section. I went into labor with both but my water only broke with my first.
