Baby aspirin

I'm 13 weeks and the OB instructed me to begin taking 81mg baby aspirin everyday until 36 weeks , to avoid pre-eclampsia, is how I understood it. Did you get recommended the same?

I had gestational hypertension at the end of my first pregnancy, so my midwife had me start the 81mg baby aspirin at 11 weeks. I take 2 per day, at one time, but obviously follow the direction of your OB 😊 I am not a fan of taking medication during pregnancy, but my midwife let me know that baby aspirin is so well studied and can help prevent pre-eclampsia/hypertension so well that it will likely become part of prenatal vitamins in the future.

I’m high risk so I was prescribed the same thing.

@Olivia thank you, this is helpful. I too don't like taking much off medication. May I ask, which baby aspirin did you take

Yes ma’am. Im high risk and had to take it also.

Me too. Once a day starting at 12 weeks. I had pre-e last pregnancy

I received the same advice. It’s such a low dose so why not. Better that than the risk.

Yes! I’m not big on meds but I did it last time and probably will again once the doctor tells me to.
