Weight loss through pregnancy

I’m worrying about the amount of weight I’m losing through pregnancy and its impact on mine & the babies health. I’m 24 weeks and have lost 10kg (1.5stone) since getting pregnant. Whilst I had sickness in the first trimester, my appetite has been back for a while now yet I’m still losing weight. I feel like I’m catching every single bug / cough cold etc and feel weak. Has anyone any tips on how to boost immunity / increase appetite? Thank you in advance! :)

Similar has happened to me and I raised my concerns with my midwife and clinician and they told me as long as I’m drinking water and keeping food down then I’ll be fine. Obviously along with the baby measuring as should be. In terms of getting poorly the only thing that’s really helped me is being excessive with hand washing having antibacterial wipes in my bag and just making sure I’m not around anyone who is ill, I also changed my vitamins to a prenatal that has more than just folic acid in which has seemed to help. Hope this helps and gives you a little bit of reassurance. X

Thank you, it has! And good tips. X

Baby will take what they need! Keep up the vitamins. I always lose weight pregnant I’m currently 4lb lighter and baby is atleast 7lb and then my placenta and waters so probably nearly a stone
