High blood pressure

Hi. I've just been to urgent care about my throat as it's been so dry and I was worried I had tonsillitis. Anyway.. doctor took my blood pressure and it was 156/96. He asked for a urine sample and he said he thinks he could see something in it, but couldn't test for protein so is sending to the lab for further tests. I'm at my midwife tomorrow for a sweep. I asked him if I should go to PAU and he said no, wait until tomorrow. I'm worried, I don't know what to do? Shall I just ring PAU anyway and see if they want to access me.

I had high blood pressure during my pregnancy although managed by medication I had to have a few visits and would definitely phone triage and speak to them as they will be able to do all the protein tests and check you over and put your mind at ease.

@Becca I called and they said they think I'd be ok until my midwife appointment tomorrow morning. But the. She could tell I was worried and told me to go in. She told me to sit and have a bite to eat first and feel for babys movements as I've not noticed much today but that could be with worrying so much. I'm going to pop up soon, but feel I'm wasting their time..

After I responded this I actually had a growth scan and they did my blood pressure a few times as it was high and they sent me straight to triage. Thankfully no protein in the wee and they were absolutely amazing with me. Monitored my blood pressure and baby, both absolutely fine in the end so definitely worth going to get checked for peace of mind x
