Measurements

Our baby boy measured in 51st percentile at our 20w scan, and had my bump measured at 28w and measuring in 97th percentile. I know scans and tape measurement’s aren’t compared. Just wondered if anyone else had had such a difference?

Scan at 20 weeks was perfect. Went to midwife at 24 weeks and I’m measuring 31 weeks got a scan on Friday to see how big he actually is

At 20 weeks I measured 16th percentile on the scan, at 28 weeks I measured 50th on bump measurement!

At my 20 week scan, baby was measuring on the 22nd percentile. At my 28 week midwife appointment, he supposedly measured on the 90th percentile. I had a growth scan at 31 weeks and baby was actually measuring on the 21st percentile, so would never have actually been on the 90th. Just have to take the bump measurements with a pinch of salt 😂 x

@Sophie Did you get referred for a growth scan? Bump measurements can be all over the place most of the time, but if you can get a scan referral, it’s definitely worth asking for. In my first pregnancy, they measured my bump twice and said it was on the 97th percentile, but the midwife just reassured me it was normal. In the end, my baby was 9lb 10oz at birth, so they’re not always wrong

My baby was 14th percentile at the 20 weeks scan and my bump at my 24 week midwife was in the 97th percentile! They weren’t too bothered and just told me I carry a lot of water ☺️

I had my 20 weeks scan done at NHS and then one in Spain as nhs recommended another one due to not seeing the baby face but no one mentioned the percentiles and when I asked both scanners said it’s very inaccurate and depends on the doctor and that’s coming from both scan people in two different countries so I would not worry at this point

Been for scan today and baby is bang on 25 weeks even though my stomach is measuring 31/32 weeks , I just carry big x
