Pregnant whilst overweight

I am currently 5 weeks pregnant and not at the weight that I would of preferred when getting pregnant but was not planned. Has anyone had a same experience to put me at ease a tiny bit 💕

I was a stone overweight when I found out I was pregnant.. by 8 weeks I was 1 and half stone overweight and my bmi was close to obese.. however since then I have only put on a few lbs and I’m not 31 weeks and baby is healthy.

This came up on my feed, my daughter is 13 months. I was shared care midwife and consultant due to high BMI and had absolutely no bother

I had a BMI of 47 with my first pregnancy, it wasn't planned but I had a good pregnancy and a healthy son

As above. Completely normal pregnancy, other than bad morning sickness for a long time, i actually lost weight in the first 20 weeks. No complications, no diabetes etc. Very healthy 9lb baby 😍

Daughter is 11 months now and i still weigh less than i did when i got pregnant

I’m not due October I’ve been overweight in last pregnancy and this one. I’m currently 31 weeks I’m just classed as high bmi but nothing major really due to weight

Im also not the weight I would have hoped to be whilst pregnant and currently so exhausted at 6 weeks I can't imagine trying to get active. Is there any ways to safely loose weight whilst pregnant

Current 7 weeks with a BMI of 32, so glad to hear of people's positive experiences

Hey Ana! I was planning on losing at least 2 stone before trying to get pregnant, but only 3kg down I ended up pregnant! I definitely feel you esp as I’m like - will I even see a bump in the early days? :/ I’m trying to do loads of body/skincare to help with eventual stretch marks too

My BMI is 38 and only 8 weeks. Make sure you are taking folic acid 5mg daily. Try to eat heathy and keep an eye on blood pressure. We will lose weight when babies born and done with breast feeding. Let’s not sweat it. I lost 5 stone during lockdown, it can be achieved again.
