Have you felt like you didn’t put on much (if any) weight in fat stores while pregnant?

For context: I am 11 weeks into my second pregnancy. I am eating so much food, way more than I normally would. And yet, I feel like I’m not putting on any weight in fat stores. I feel like I’m ’getting away with it’. It was like this with my first pregnancy as well. Makes me wonder if I ate less, would I lose fat stores?

I lost weight in my pregnancy, not intentionally

I think I put on a total of 15 lbs in my pregnancy, so not much. However baby was growing just fine. I didn't really feel like I ate a lot more than I normally do either. I wouldn't advise trying to lose weight during pregnancy however. That disrupts the balance between the mother's body and fetus, which is parasitic in nature. If you aren't getting enough nutrients, your body will deplete your own stores before it allows the baby to go without. It can cause a lot of problems. Best to just try and gain a healthy amount of weight.

Unfortunately I didn’t gain any weight aside from the babies. I was hoping I’d have a good appetite increase while pregnant, especially with twins, but it wasn’t much because I struggled to eat enough especially at the beginning and end. I wouldn’t recommend eating less if you’re pregnant. You should have an extra 300 calories per day (and per baby if you’re carrying multiple)

11 weeks is still early on, you may feel like your eating alot but actually it’s just right for you and baby 🥰

11 weeks is very early to be gaining weight as baby is still so small. In both my pregnancies I've lost weight in first and second trimester then gained all of my weight in third trimester. I gained more weight in my second pregnancy by the end but I still don't gain loads of excess weight.

11 weeks is still first trimester, weight gain in first trimester is usually 0-4lbs so that actually makes sense. Majority of your weight gain will happen after 14 weeks.

Gained over 70 lbs lol, almost all gone after 9 months pp 😊 breastfeeding takes lots of energy. Just make sure not to undereat because of wanting to loose weight. Causes actually the opposite, since your body is craving energy to care and feed baby and will store them as fat if you dot. Supply enough food to your body

I unintentionally lost 17 pounds throughout the first half of my pregnancy. I’m now almost 30 weeks and still am not quite at my pre pregnancy weight. I have just about gained it back though.

You don’t need any extra calories for the first few months of pregnancy and in your last trimester you only need a little extra so it’s all good 😊
