Here in the UK (this is the UK group) we don’t usually go back to work until about 9-12 months old

Hi Mama, I have 3 kids and I'm in the UK. I work full time. Part in the office part at home. With my first I went back after 7 months. Dreaded it and it was absolutely fine. My second son was born in 2022 and I went back after 6 weeks. I managed to look after him and work from home. My 3rd was born in October and I went back to work when she was 15 weeks. The thought is worse than the actual action. I am lucky enough to be able to work from home 3 days of the 5. My jobs demanding but I leave the most difficult of tasks until I'm in the office. This all depends on your employer though. I'm lucky with the situation I am in. My advice would be try and find a job that suits you and your baby. More and more employers are becoming more flexible in this. As long as the work is done there is no problem. Whatever you choose to do will be the right decision for you.
