Informing work about pregnancy

I didn't want to tell anyone either but my work is so stressful I felt I had no other choice

I have told work as it is pretty obvious I am being sick all the time!

I was hoping to wait but ill need to request time off for the antenatal appointments so I guess ill have to tell them pretty soon

I told my boss pretty much as soon as I found out, because of the nature of my job there's certain things it's not safe for me to do whilst pregnant. Although it's weird him knowing when family and friends don't, it's also really helpful him knowing for when I do feel rubbish at work!

@Charlotte you can always just say they are drs appointments and keep it vague until you're ready. That's what I did with my first

I've told my manager already (I'm 6 weeks today) my job is pretty physical and busy, it makes me feel better to know I can be honest with her about how I'm feeling x

You don’t have to legally tell your employer until 15 weeks before due date - I’m panicking about telling mine because I’ve only just come back from maternity and they’ve been a bit lost without me and keep on saying they’re so happy I’m back (I only had 6 months MAT leave too 😅) I don’t know how they’re going to take it this time!
