I was also referred to high risk
@Amber no they called and told me I had an appointment for high risk and at the sonogram the tech set me up for additional sonograms for genetics
Its usually protocol now to see a high risk doctor early in your pregnancy to test for genetic abnormalities. If everything turns out fine with your blood work, then you won't have to see them again. I am high risk so I do have to see mine throughout my pregnancy. Also, if you're 35 or older you'd be considered high risk just due to age.
BMI over 30% is considered high risk too
@Jade not necessarily in every situation from what I’ve experienced
Did they give you reasons you were high risk?
