I think it depends on what brand you’re using. My baby is 15 lb and wears size 3 Aldi nappies. We knew we needed to size up because she started having leaks in size 2. Every size also has different weight limits that you can easily look up online or on the packet x
@Annie ah brilliant, thank you so much babe x
@Michelle were using Tescos, which size 3- correlates with his weight so realistically speaking, he should be in 3, they just looked so big lol😅the 2s just seem to leave red lines on his legs? So I just assumed that was a good sign to move up? X
We are in sizes 4’s but my boy is 8.5kg
My girl is about the same weight and we went up to 3’s last week. I’ve found different brands vary massively in size but so far the only ones we’ve had that don’t leak in the night are Tesco ones. Asda and Sainsbury’s have resulted in a soggy baby so far😂🤦🏽♀️
If you're having frequent leak through or they're not fastening far enough across then size up x
I'm not sure how much mine weighs now (5 months at the start of March), but at the end of Jan he was nearly 7kg (around 15lb) and he's been in size 3 since before then (pampers). He's a long boy so it seemed to fit him better. I think the next pack of nappies I buy will be a size 4. At the moment the nappies sit so low on him. It's pretty funny 😂
I changed to size 3 before she reached the weight that the nappies suggest as she had a lot of leaks already and even some of her poos came out 😅 hence I sized up and didn’t have issues after. My LG is still using size 3 and she is about 14 lbs now I think as they grow the needs of sizing up becomes less frequent as their weight gain will also steady.
My boy is 15lbs and we’re in a size 3. We’ve never had a problem with leakage but he’s long so the size 2 didn’t come up high enough to his waist. Their body shape makes such a huge difference to nappy sizing - my toddler was in size 4 until he potty trained aged 2 and a half, because his waist is so slim 😂
My LG is just over 14lb and has been in size 3 for about 1.5 months as she has chunky legs and is long so size 2 were rubbing and leaking. We use aldi nappies that go up to 9kg in a size 3 so they're a bit big as she's not chunky on her torso but we have no leaks and they hold her big wees well x
4 month old and we went into number 3s a couple weeks ago, definitely the right thing they hold so much better she can go 9 hours no leaks 😊
We are in size 4 (Aldi) and my son is 18 weeks old. He was 14 lbs 6 weeks ago so not sure how much he weighs now 🤷🏼♀️ to be honest every time he starts leaking a lot or the nappies seem tight on his legs I size up
We’re in a 3 x
Not a silly question at all! My LG was October born and I found about a month ago size 2s just couldn’t cope with the size of her wees so she would just be damp all the time! When we initially put size 3s on they did look big but they seems to hold everything much better and she’s still in 3s now. She’s a similar size 13lbish now! We use Lidl nappies X
