Just a vent

Totally aware I'm just hormonal but this is really irritating me. I'm 23w and we only really started telling people. We planned for our oldest to wear a jumper saying big sibling and they have been telling family which I think is cute. So far the first thing people have said is "awh I thought that" and its really just irritating me. We only want/plan for 2 kids so this is my last pregnancy and last time ill be announcing, we've made an effort to plan how we tell people and we also have the added surprise of how long we've waited to announce and instead of people's first words being congratulations it's how they're so clever knowing already. Totally know I'm overreacting but the hormones are hormoning atm and it's just irritating me

This is one reason I've told people early, I'm so nauseated during pregnancy that they would know if I didn't tell them 🤦🏻‍♀️ we told people we are close to at 6ish weeks after my first ultrasound and I found out they're twins, then announced at like 9 weeks. Last time I announced at 10 weeks and someone I know who was due over a month after me announced the same day 🤦🏻‍♀️

We announced at 12 weeks and had a lot of this too. So annoying! So many people make it about them, unfortunately.

@Emily I honestly don't think it would have made a difference when we announced tbh but it's just an annoying response

We’ve told very close family only everyone else(Facebook ) will know once we have had baby,we moved city’s so I don’t know anyone in our new city so it’s easy to hide , we did the same with my 18 month old too x

It's not really about when we are telling people that I'm venting about it's about their responses. Hope this is clear in the post.

I don’t think it’s just hormones - I found this super irritating when people did it to me. I was literally like how do you know? I’ve gave no ques. It was just based on the fact we recently got married. I even had my MIL shout “Yessss I KNEW IT!! I win!!!”. I don’t understand why people can’t just keep their mouths shut even if they did suspect something. It’s giving off “trying to make it about me” vibes x
