We hired a local hall and decorated it rainbow and pooh bear theme for our daughters 1st bday. We had photo boards and small displays along with balloons. There is a small playground right next door to the hall. We had a large gathering roughly 100 people (adults and children) came throughout the duration of the party, not there all at once.
Unless you have lots of older kids coming who need entertaining I wouldn't go over board. We went to 1 yr bdays that had everything from a small playpen and minimal nibbles to expensive rented soft play, and balloon igloos and bouncy castles. The 1 year olds were just as happy and entertained at the simple ones as they were the expensive ones but the stress levels of the parents was significantly increased 😅 Personally we fell somewhere in the middle. We did it at home and bought bday gifts we could use at the party eg ball pit, bubble maker, playdough toys etc. Personally ooking back I wouldn't do it again I would just keep it relaxed. But in saying that when my sons bday rolls around we will have both 1 yr olds as well as 3 yr olds running around so it will make sense to have more things for them to do
@Sharon awwww a photo board! Such a good idea 🥹 love that! :)
We went to a local park. We invited my parents' inlaws, my sister, my partners grandparents, and like 3 or 4 friends. We just had a BBQ in the park nothing really set up as he was the only child for most of his birthday some friends brought their kids but they kicked around a ball played with some toys had lunch then most people left besides family.
We did a birthday party at home for my daughter's 1st birthday and had a small amount of Friends and family that came out for her special day ,🎊🎉🎂🎂🎂🎂🎁🎁🎁🎁❤️❤️
I’m getting a jumping castle, soft play and pony rides :) - I’m doing lion king theme and there is about 40 - 50 people coming. 15 kids or so and then family, friends and mamas of the children :) I absolutely can’t wait 😍😍
