Anomaly scan TW

I had my anomaly scan a few weeks back now , we had the devastating news that our baby boy has a congenital heart defect called HLHS (half a heart) he will need open heart surgery in his first few days of life then 2 more surgery’s a few months after. We were not expecting bad news whatsoever , I’m finding it so difficult to relate to other mums that are having amazing pregnancies I feel like it’s all just been taken away from me. But we are fighting for our boy and want to him him the best chance❤️‍🩹 anyone wanting to follow our journey I have made a TikTok @ourhlhs

A girl I went to school with had a little boy with the same condition. Just thought it would be nice for you to know that he is doing really well. He is about 11 now. Stay strong. Sometimes they can get things wrong on scans and it won't be as bad as you think xx

My niece had this surgery when she was a few days old, I won’t sugarcoat it, the journey was incredibly tough on the family. However, fast forward a few years later, princess is a vibrant, intelligent & kind young lady who lights up any room she walks into. She’s so sassy too! 😂 Your pregnancy, birth & motherhood journey will be unique. It’ll give you strengths you never knew you had & your little prince will be a source of great joy for you 🌞 Sending you virtual hugs & the best of wishes 🫶🏻
