I actually had such a positive experience! I cried so much when they told me I had low Papp a because I’d never heard of it and when they told me the risks I was so scared! My midwife was amazing at reassuring me as well which really helped!! Please feel free to send me a message if your really struggling because I know all the feelings your going through❤️
I had low Papp a, it didn’t really make any difference to my pregnancy at all, and I just got extra scans. The aspirin really helped my blood pressure I think. Try not to worry, it’s just a marker which means they want to keep an eye on you more.
Wow thank you ladies! I spoke with midwife today she helped me to calm down too! I think I defo got ahead of myself ahah! She didn’t seem too bothered about it! So fingers crossed all is going to be fine! Thank you for your messages of support been really lovely to see your feedback! Thanks! ❤️🥰
I also have low papp-a and waited for the prescription to come through as we're exempt to pay when pregnant. It seems to be relatively common and I don't think I have any extra symptoms of that. It will all be ok :)
I had low papp-a in previous pregnancy (2023) and have again in my current pregnancy, took aspirin (when I remembered!) before and have started taking them again now, had no complications or problems with baby at all in previous pregnancy, all normal growth, weight etc. and all good so far with this one as well. If anything I loved the fact they give you more growth scans so could see baby more often 😅 Totally ok to be worried, pregnancy is wild but look after yourself and take it easy when you can x
I got told I had low Papp A as well, when they called to tell me they explained the dosage of aspirin I needed to take so I just went to the pharmacy and explained it and they recommended which one I could use! My midwife also told me they don’t prescribe it because it literally costs about £1 or something but obviously could be different for your area! I was always told there was a risk for premature and underweight baby but my son continued to grow at an amazing rate followed the graphs! At one point he was measuring ‘too big’ and got tested for gestational diabetes but didn’t actually have that! Then on my final growth scan at 40+2 weeks he was measuring at 9lb2oz and I just said please can I be induced because he clearly doesn’t need anymore time to keep growing! I had regular growth scans which was so nice and reassuring! My whole pregnancy felt so normal and taking the aspirin tablets was absolutely fine! I know every single persons pregnancy can be completely different but
