Early Pregnancy

Soo a-bit of background info, I haven’t had a period since 2/1/25. I do have PCOS and hadn’t had a period for a year and half before having my daughter 2 years ago. Since giving birth my periods have been regular! I got a positive test (digital) this time last week. Monday I had numerous negative tests (these were cheaper ones and one digital). On the cheaper tests there were no faint lines or anything just negative results. I took apart the digital test to compare and they look same the inside and don’t look how a negative test should inside the digital! I know I’m probably clinging on for dear hope that by miracle I am having a healthy pregnancy as I’m still having pregnancy symptoms and no bleeding but I have been advised by GP that it is unlikely and that I’m having a missed miscarriage so having a scan tomorrow. I just wanted to see if anyone has experienced this before and the outcome?

You shouldn’t take apart tests, especially digitals - the inside doesn’t mean anything. If you’ve had two likes on a test or a digital that says “pregnant” then you’re pregnant. Some tests are more sensitive than others. You scan will show you more and will give you a rough estimate of how far you are.

Those tests are not positive because you took them apart and all the digitals have two lines

@Lucy I only took them apart once I had the result. On the second strip there is a faint line on both tests.

Did it read pregnant?? Before you took it apart?

@Katie yes one did and the other one was negative

When did you take the next one? You should take them in the morning using FMU, especially early on. Have you taken any since?

The positive was in the morning and all have been negative since the positives. They’re still saying negative

I would have thought that either it was a chemical or weirdly a doggy test hun. Maybe get a first responds as they are the most sensitive and do one with first morning wee and you’ll probably have your answer. Good luck 🤞🏽
