TTC with Letrozole

So I got my cycle February 28th (cycle day 1) I started letrozole cycle day 4 (3/3/25) my period ended 3/4/25 and I stopped letrozole 3/7/25 (cycle day 8) I did 5mg for 5 days! I’m currently cycle day 14 and my ovulation tests are still negative. My fertility specialist told me test till 3/26/25 has anyone had any experience with letrozole? I have PCOS which is why I’m taking it. What cycle day did you ovulate on? I’m also taking digital ovulation tests by clearblue I keep getting blank circles which means low lh and blinking smiley face is high and solid smiley face is peak

Are they willing to check with ultrasound? I also have PCOS. When i used letrozole, i ovulated CD 16 or 17. And i never had a “positive” LH strip. It “peaked” CD15, but was like 0.55, never got as dark as the control line. I got ultrasounds on CD 15 and CD 18, which confirmed ovulation. Currently holding my 10mo baby from that cycle! Hope this helps! Baby dust!

@Meg I opted for a simple letrozole cycle while testing at home because the other option was letrozole trigger shots and ultrasounds but I’d have to pay out of pocket for everything so I wanted to try the cheapest way first 😂 I currently have a 17 month old so I’m TTC for baby #2! Thank you for the advice! I’m using a digital ovulation test which picks up better than the strips atleast that’s what it says on the box 😂 I got for a progesterone test on 3/20!

@Jayla whoa I didn’t even know there are letrozole trigger shots haha I also took the pill for 5 days

@Meg you take the pill for 5 days they do a ultrasound you trigger then they to another ultrasound do predict ovulation then you have intercourse

@Jayla ohhh I wonder if I’ll have to do that next time. Did you use letrozole for your first?

@Meg yes and you can plan your cycles out my fertility specialist gave me a bunch of different ways to try with letrozole
