Blood pressure

I went to see my midwife today, however she was off ill so it was a different midwife, my blood pressure is normally around 110/70 and 120/80, however today it was 130/80, the midwife said it's fine but I worry incase she hasn't seen what mine normally are...I'm so scared about getting preeclampsia, I have no other symptoms and I'm sure I'm just overthinking and worrying about nothing

Wouldn't worry about it, I had preeclampsia with my first, and have had BP issues this time around too. They generally don't do anything unless it goes over 140/90 x

Mines normally 110/70 and in hospital Friday for monitoring it was 132/82 and it’s not a worry for them at all. Like above, it’s if it’s above 140/90

Hey lovely, I'm being monitored for high BP and when we score 130/80 it's a bit of a victory, lol. It could just be that you out of your comfort zone and it showed on your BP. I've been referred to hospital twice due to higher BP (140/90 approximately) and even with protein in my urine, preeclampsia was ruled out. If you start experiencing other/multiple symptoms then give triage a call (severe headaches, nausea, chest pain etc) xx

Thank you all, puts my mind at ease x

120/80 is normal non preg BP. All pregnancy I’ve had to take multiple readings to get it below 140/90 so no problem with a 130/80.

It could just be that you saw a different midwife that it made it rise a bit but as the others have said, they only become concerned if the BP alone is above 140/90 and is consistently high. If it makes you feel any better, I saw a new midwife on Tuesday and my blood pressure was 153/100 lol! They got it down eventually but just goes to show how something such as a different setting or a different person can change it (obviously not talking about if there are any other warning signs or symptoms) xx
