Consultant

So I’ve been referred to a consultant this pregnancy after being high risk and having complications during my last pregnancy but I’ve not heard anything! Is that normal like am I do early?

I didn’t see my consultant until 20 weeks this time round, and I’m consultant led due to complications with my last birth.

You usually see them around 16-20 weeks and then they'll decide what your next steps will be, some people are consultant led but never see them again after that meeting. It depends on your reasons for being under a consultant and the outcome of that first meeting. I was consultant led purely because it was an IVF pregnancy so never saw them again after that first appointment

I’m consultant led due to having a C-section and low PAPP A and my first (and possibly only) consultant appointment has just been scheduled for 22 weeks

I’ve had an appointment at 16 weeks, next isn’t until 34 x

I got seen by the midwife at 16 weeks then the consultant at 22 weeks I mentioned I hadn’t really been seen and they said I should’ve been by 20 weeks. I think they forgot to book me in. I got seen again at 25 weeks and I have a midwife appointment and a scan next week (28 weeks) . Maybe worth an ask?
