Glucose Test Help!!
Hi lovelies
I had my glucose tolerance test today and it went awful. Had the first blood draw fine, got the drink down, then about 50 minutes later right before my second blood draw I went really dizzy and faint, sweaty and had to run to the toilets to vomit. I literally couldn’t keep it down.
When I went in for the second blood draw the nurse asked how I was feeling and I said really really unwell and she just comforted me and then proceeded with the blood draw. I realise I didn’t tell her I vomited, but she also didn’t ask?
I really could not handle the idea of going back another day so I persevered and stayed for the final blood draw. Do you think this will be okay? Google says my body should have absorbed the glucose within 30-60 minutes.
Advise greatly appreciated 🙏🏼 really not planning on going back and repeating. Thank you x

definitely worth mentioning just incase. your results may alter bc of it. they treat you according to your results so best to have it as accurate as possible x

@Alannah ?? What is this meant to be for? By the way nobody ever once said anything to me about vomiting during the test, the nurse did not ask me if I vomited and I only really thought about it potentially being an issue afterwards as I was really not up to much mentally at the time. Hence my post.

I know you don’t want to but I would contact your midwife and be honest about it, it’s not something you want to mess with if you do have it x
