I had mine this morning too, and I'm also absolutely exhausted
Glad it’s not just me! I thought during was fine, I thought I would feel weak during the bloods but I was ok then too, had a decent lunch after and then this afternoon I’m just laying down absolutely exhausted, no energy to do anything!
@Kiara I'm exactly the same. Feel like I'm just waiting for little ones bed time so I can go to bed
I was exhausted after the test and couldn’t leave my bed the following day! Didn’t expect to feel like this but the good news is I don’t have GD 🙌🏻
Should everyone have a GD test? Just it hasn’t been mentioned to me
@Lou only if you’re over 35 and have family history from my understanding, think if you have a higher BMI they will also refer you to have it done
@Lou I only had one bc baby was measuring big in the ultrasound scan. No other risk factors so wouldn’t have had it otherwise.
They referred me to have it done as I have polycystic ovaries
I was sooo tired and hungry and had to go to work after! They will usually call within 24-48hours if there’s a concern but after that I wouldn’t worry too much x
I was absolutely wiped out after my test. To the point I came home and went straight for a nap!!
I've got mine tomorrow and after reading all your experiences I am now very glad I booked the entire day off work rather than just the morning! I think my referral was due to me have Coeliac disease (which has a close link with diabetes) and my dad having it too. As I don't think it's normal without other concerns for it at my age (27)
@Tamara definitely use the afternoon to rest if you feel like you need to, I was glad I didn’t have anything else scheduled for the day, I had a bit more energy by the evening and then slept well last night!
@Frederique @Peppi thank you!
I was sleepy after my test but got normal results so no GD. They told me sleepiness is quite common after all that sugar☺️
