Baby not feeding

When should I be concerned about my baby feeding less? He's been straining a lot the last few days and we've been to the doctors about it. But the last day, he's hardly fed, had about half of his bottles I'd say. He had a full bottle of 120ml at 7pm and just 30ml since. He is weeing but obviously not as much. Hasn't pooped since Wednesday. Thank you in advance!

t’s good that you’ve been to the doctors about it! If he continues to feed less or shows signs of dehydration (like fewer wet diapers), it might be worth reaching out to your GP again for further advice. Sending you lots of strength!

Thank you! This is hard xx

Sounds like he’s constipated and needing to go. Babies will sometimes just hardly feed as it’s too uncomfortable. I’m sure you’re already trying everything to try get bowels moving so I’d say just carry on with that. Baby will take if he needs it but definitely look out for signs of dehydration as above has said x

Maybe try ready made formula, my little girl was struggling, midwife said a feed of ready made will help, and it did she did a poo within couple of hours x
