I’ve been thinking the same thing! I had my 28 week appointment last week and all is progressing well. So thank you, goodbye. When there’s lots of other mamas being scanned. I have FOMO 😂

Yeah your last one is at 20 weeks if you’re non-risk. Some areas will do one close to your due date but most don’t

Last scan on the NHS will be at 20weeks, unless they find a reason to scan afterwards. Previous pregnancy I had a private scan around 35 weeks from memory just to check baby’s position and everything was looking good. I’ll do the same this time around

I said this and got proper bashed on here! I find it crazy that you don’t get anymore scans after 20 weeks. I booked a private one at 26 and have just had another due to them thinking she was small! But yes unless they have concerns you don’t get anymore which I find crazy x

Let me tell you this, I’m getting the extra NHS scans at 28, 32, 36 and 39 weeks and I’m STILL booking private scans just because I want to see her 😂 plus private scans are so much more relaxed and enjoyable than the NHS ones IMO. If you want to see baby again before giving birth, 100% go for a private scan. You won’t regret it

I’m also 29 weeks & we weren’t planning on having a 4d scan but last night we were talking about how we want to see her again, mainly due to our last scan being worrying which is a shame to have as our last scan memory of her, and we didn’t get any good pictures, so ended up booking a 4d one for next weekend 😂

I'm fortunate that I have growth scans booked for 32, 36 and 40 weeks. However I said to my husband at the weekend that if we didn't have those scans booked, I would definitely have gone private. For me, it's just the reassurance that everything is okay.

I’m 29 weeks today too and I had a private scan on Saturday! As at the moment, my 20 week scan was my last nhs one. I highly recommend getting a private one, everything looked so much bigger! Xx

I had a private 5D scan at 28 weeks and it was worth every penny! Got a heartbeat bear as well 🥰 I would 100% recommend. Not due to have any other scans as I’m low risk x

I said to my other half I cannot believe firstly you have to wait 12 weeks to even know that the baby is ok unless you pay for a private scan and then nothing after the 20 weeks which is absolutely crazy!! We are having growth scans but if we weren’t I’d have 100% booked a private one for sure!!
