Car seat recommendation

Hey Mamas Can I pick your brains on thoughts/opinion my husband drives and has our 2.5 year olds car seat permanently in his car (it’s heavy and big) I don’t drive however I take Ubers when I visit my mum (50minutes away) - is there a portable type car seats anyone can recommend that isn’t too complicated to fit into another car, safe and not too heavy?
