Opinions?

My LO didn’t have much screen time up until the age of about 2 then he started watching london red buses & london underground on youtube as he’s obsessed. I do want him to watch something other than this sometimes can everyone give good educational tv or opinions on bluey/ paw patrol/ miss rachel etc? Thank you

Puffin Rock on Netflix is good and really calming, and my LO loves Hey Duggee as well. We’ve tried Bluey and she’s not really into it yet.

Some of the shows that are calming we like Jojo and grangran and Sarah and duck, Rosie and Jim on you tube She likes tee and mo and Peter rabbit tbh she likes most of what’s on bbc including the gruffalo After tea time we put hey bear moon and stars bedtime playlist or moon and me

We really struggle with tv (just way too much sometimes) so we’ve tried lots of different shows. My daughter recently discovered pip and posy on YouTube and she really likes it. I think it’s meant for older kids because they have little lessons about adjectives and stuff but the drawings are nice and it’s about friendships etc. Bluey has always been a big hit for her and us 😅 the colours aren’t too overstimulating and nice stories. Hey duggee is also popular in the rotation. Rachel seems to really divide people but I don’t mind it, good for sing alongs etc but not great for learning the English pronunciations of words if that’s something that bothers you. Mickey Mouse clubhouse is a new one but only because she recognises the characters from clothes in the shops, she seems to really interact with that and answers the questions but I limit it because it’s quite bright! Peppa, cocomelon, baby shark etc are all on hard bans (we learnt the hard way 🫠)

@Harriet we love the Pip and Posy books, didn’t realise there was a TV version! Cocomelon is dire isn’t it, put it on once out of curiosity, never again 😳🤣

@Ruth oh I didn’t know there was books! Cocomelon is literal brain melt 😅

@Harriet they’re good books, a bit high drama but nice stories about overcoming obstacles and the importance of friendship 🥰 You might like this article 🤣 https://www.theguardian.com/tv-and-radio/2020/nov/05/cocomelon-netflix-the-unsettling-kids-show-thats-breaking-records

My little boy is obsessed with musical storyland on iPlayer. They each play an instrument while they sing a song and tell the story. They are based on fairytales. There is also a gingerbread man one which he is obsessed with!

He loves The Wiggles too (YouTube or Prime.) They teach lots of educational things through music. My little man just really loves music
