Need advise ladies

My employer wrote this to me, I work as a carer as my second job and it seems he’s getting out of wanting to pay me maternity leave by not giving me hours since January. It is very unlikely that we will be able to offer you the hours that you want for you to feel it is worth your while coming out as the rotas for all of April have been done a while back due to Irene being on leave for 4 weeks as of yesterday. At this point, the only work we would be able to offer you during the Easter break would be deemed, by you, “as a waste of mileage”.

You need to contact an employment lawyer. This may be illgeal

Yeah you can let it go or you can write a message telling that you'll be giving an employment lawyer details about the situation.

If you get a lawyer, I would say don’t even warn them. Talk to the lawyer first and see what your options are.

Are you on a zero hour contract?
