Never too soon! 🤣 Aslong as you feel read! My first was a July 2023 baby, my 2nd is my June 2024 baby and the bond now is adorable! Also now due in October 🤣 I'm just thinking of getting all the sleepless nights out the way! X
I’ve been saying my whole mat leave I don’t want 2 under 2, now my mat leave is coming to an end I’m like right when we trying 😂😂
@Hannah I went back to work for six weeks between my two maternity leaves…it was great 😂😂
Oh wow!!! I could never 😂😂 I’ve had a section too so don’t want to cause too much unnecessary disruption with my scar yet! @Gemma
I’m so tempted!!!
I really want to, but we've said we'll get married in 2027 and we've been engaged since 2023, just before I got pregnant😅. Wouldn't be able to afford a wedding so soon after having another, so it'd have to be one or the other🥲 but also didn't want as big of an age gap sooo it's tough😬
Me and my other half had a pregnancy scare last month. I got my period but we were both upset by it so we are now just looking for a bigger house and then we will go again 😊
@Gemma oh wow I’m two months behind! I’m so happy you love it
@Mia aww lovely! How did you find it so close?
@Gemma this is eveything 🤣
@Hannah haha this is me! I am going back to work next week 😅
@Chloe me too 🥲
@Caitlin hmmm tough one 😬
@aria that’s exciting ☺️

@Hannah this is what I am thinking.. how long until your scar is actually okay for another pregnancy 🤷🏽♀️ my feeling in the right side is not fully back
How do people afford having 2 such young babies when they go from one mat leave to another in such a short space of time, not giving enough time to boost their savings? It’s difficult even with a very highly paid job (nursery fees, or nanny etc)
They recommended not getting pregnant for 18 months for full healing but I know obviously people go earlier x
@Elina I didn’t need to boost my savings, their dad works away 6 days a week to afford for me to have them close together, I also have a good maternity package from work. We’ve had to reduce a few things like luxuries for ourselves but it’s not that bad, I’m back at work next month and don’t need to pay excessive nursery fees because I do nights so they will just go to nursery for two mornings a week so I can sleep whilst they’re there and then pick up and carry on. I don’t find at this age children are that expensive, especially when you have everything you need for the second one from the first.
@Gemma thanks for sharing. That’s good to hear. It’s amazing to have a sibling with such a small age gap.
@Elina I won't say its easy cause it isn't, but I haven't treated myself since the first arrived, my kids have everything they need and more. I don't live above my means cause I don't need to, I'm lucky enough to be able to stay home. I used holidays accrued from my first maternity leave when I went back to work so I didn't have to work for long before my 2nd, which helped get me full maternity pay again. This time I don't have any mat pay, but I know we will get through, as long as the bills are paid and the littles are looked after, that is my luxury:) x
@Elina I work from home so no nursery fees. And I got enhanced maternity pay. I work as a major road and highways designer (civils) and work freelance as an architect.
@aria how do you get work done while having them at home with you?
@Elina totally get what you’re saying. When you’ve created a life that requires both salaries to be maintained you have to wait before no.2 and save. When we bought our house in 2022 interest rates were so much lower but now our mortgage demands that we both always work. And with me earning 50% of the household income mat leave means taking a big financial hit. Also companies don’t share their maternity policies publicly so you can’t plan to work for a family friendly employer. Ironically , if my income was low, our mortgage would be much lower, my husband’s income would be relied on more heavily and then I could have another baby more easily. There’s the motherhood penalty but there’s also the career penalty imo…
My June baby was conceived when my first baby was 8 months old! Best thing I did x
