I’ve read that you get if you receive mat allowance
If you claim certain benefits you can apply for the sure start grant from 26 weeks of pregnancy up until 6 months of babys birth. I have recently sent off an application and should receive a letter to say if i am eligible for this payment. Most people receive the payment in up to 6 weeks.
I applied and received You have to be on certain benefits or be in a low income job. You can also apply for the healthy start card on the NHS which is £17 a month whilst pregnant then £32 after your first child
