I’m 32+3 and will be starting when i’m 34wks😁 the way i see it is, labour can happen whenever so best to get it sorted whilst i can.

I started washing everything from 2 weeks ago (currently not finished washing it all) I’m 34 weeks and 4 days so been doing his washing since 32 weeks

I didn't wash anything brand new, i washed second hand bits but nothing else xx

I washed them pretty close to my due date because I had this weird mommy brain thing if they weren’t freshly washed they aren’t clean. 😂 idk what my problem is but my aunt who is a nicu nurse said to wash them ahead of time so the scent of the laundry detergent can fade away. So the sooner the better, she also told me not to use baby laundry soap because the baby will already be touching other things in the house that have regular detergent on them so just use your normal laundry soap and double rinse. She said this also helps with early exposure so that they are less likely to have allergy issues. Of course do what you feel is best I’m just glad someone told me.

I began washing all newborn-3 months at around 33 weeks (had him at 36). I stopped washing new clothes around 4 months and just started putting them on the baby once bought 💀😂.. I did wash all of his blankets and towels that way I could lay him on top of them when putting him down ( on my bed or couch)

I did it at 34 weeks -36 because 36 weeks is technically full term so I wanted to be ready by then

I started after my baby shower with both my kids. My daughter i had my baby shower at 35 weeks and washed that same weekend. And for my son i had my shower at 31 weeks and washed everything around 32 weeks and been washing as we buy him more clothes. I'll be 38 weeks on friday.
