Ultrasound scan post c section

Has anyone been referred for an ultrasound scan post c section as they are still experiencing pain? (Not pregnant to look at scar tissue etc). What kind of things may be helpful for me to ask them? I have my scan today as a cancellation came up

No, but I’m following along. How far post C-section are you? I’m 4 months and still having quite a bit of pain.

9 nearly 10 months unfortunately xx

I’ve got one being booked after I saw the GP on Monday so would be interested in the answers. I’m 11 weeks PP and experience intense burning pain just above my scar on the left side

It depends I have had a scan I am 10 days but I have an infection

Yes I am 4 months pp I had a scan came back normal even though I still have pains, they are now going to look at my uterus.

Im 3 weeks pp and have severe pain on the left. Following along, Hope your scan goes ok x

I’m 10w pp and also have burny pain on my left still. Was thinking of booking an appointment

I had one at 8 months pp due to bleeding since giving birth as they thought I had retained tissue, they checked my ovaries, uterus and my scar tissue for literally everything, it was an internal so was a little bit uncomfortable

I had one 4 days post partum as I had an internal bleed.

i haven't had that exact situation, but maybe ask about scar tissue or any signs of infection? good luck with your scan! Just looked it up on the 'Heal Baby Care App' and here's what it says: "It's not uncommon for individuals to experience pain after a C-section, and an ultrasound can help assess scar tissue or other underlying issues. When discussing your situation, consider asking about the following: 1. What specific symptoms are you experiencing, and how long have they persisted? 2. Have you noticed any changes in the pain, such as intensity or location? These questions can help provide clarity on your condition and guide the ultrasound findings. How are you feeling about the scan today?

Yes. I did because I was having pain with intercourse that was more than before.. i had this done about 4 months post. I had an internal ultrasound and a full abdominal ultrasound (basically from breast bone down was ultrasounded) … specifically they were looking for adhesions, scar tissue and endometriosis spots.. as of now, nothing has come up. I have a few adhesions which they think could be the cause of the pulling and tugging feeling I get during intercourse. I would ask if it matters what point you are in your cycle, and ask for a repeat one for a few months after!

What a coincidence! My OBGYN just referred me to get a vaginal ultrasound today to see why I still have pain from the Csection!

i'm 19 months post c section and still have pain. was also referred to ultrasound and discovered i have a lipoma and a hernia on both ends of my scar. referred to general surgery and have an appointment this month for it
