It took 3m for my baby boy to finally like his pram. He hated the bassinet section of the pram constantly cried wouldn’t sleep in in ended baby carrying most (invest in a good carrier ) we tried using the car seat in the pram attachment we had less hysterics but still very fussy. But using it little by litter helped him get use to it. We took the newborn insert out after about a 2 months but he was a big baby so depends on the size but made it more comfortable for him. Now at almost 4 months he loves being in the pram but only in the sit up seat. Out sit up seat for the pram moves to lay down and sit up for when he’s sleeping. Recommend taking a carrier with you and if they get fussy but in the carrier for an hour or so then transfer back for a while and keep doing that it helped slowly get use to it. He had really bad reflux aswell which does make it a bit more uncomfortable.
Have you tried taking out the newborn insert (obvs if they have reached the correct height) Our LO was hysterically around that age in his car seat and was so much more content once the insert was taken out. He now falls asleep and just stares outside contentlyb With the pram our LO hated the bassinet too (literally would cry bloody murder! and so we had to use the car seat attached (only for short periods) and used a carrier too until he could sit in the seat. Now we have no issues!
@Olivia @Gunesthis is exactly what we did and are doing. I took out the newborn insert from the car seat and taking him on walks in that sometimes, but its exactly the same as the pram. If I manage to put him to sleep in it then its fine for maybe 30mins then wakes up screaming. I taught him to lie in his cot during the day looking at toys and books so I tried that with bassinet, but still the same. I am so happy I’ve invested into good baby carrier!
One other thing that worked with Isaak was a dummy comforter done by deer do some nice ones but they are soft on one side and hold the dummy so he always liked it though the side of his face when I’m the pram it kinda tricked his brain into thinking someone close to him we still do it now if he’s fussy to sleep in the pram on walks x
@Olivia this is amazing I’ve never seen one and I do really think he may be struggling with separation
Honestly it was a game changer now we have like 3 of them for every time they in the wash you can also sometimes find the dummy comforter by the same brand on Vinted still brand new but 100% recommend and they are breathable so if he wriggles or pulls at it like mine he pretty safe just keep an eye of course x
Both our oldest and our current bub have been through a phase of hating the car seat, we’re currently in said phase with youngest or at least I’m hoping it’s a phase 🤞 with our oldest, she HATED the bassinet so we ended up using the stroller part from c3 months and she was much better x
Yes our daughter HATES it all but I think it's just preference of not wanting to be tied down tbh but it makes life very hard. Especially the screaming bloody murder in the car 💔😭
