Excess saliva

Has anyone noticed there little one having a lot of saliva in their mouth? The last couple of days I’ve noticed my daughter seems to have a lot in her mouth and sometimes it dribbles out the side of the mouth especially when she is lying in her mosses basket. I get a bit paranoid at night that she might choke on it. Is this normal or could it be a sign of silent reflux as she does get fussy after feeding.

I have literally been noticing the same recently! My boy is 6 weeks, sorry no answers but came to say same x

Same, my girls 7 weeks and I feel like she's drooling all the time! I mentioned it to the HV because I was like surely she shouldnt be drooling yet until teeth come in but she just told me to give her a dummy to make sure she sucks it back down 😬 so sadly no advice, just glad someone else is experiencing it 😅

@Stella @Maddie just seems strange haha but I’ll try the dummy and see if it helps 🙈

My girl is 6 weeks and also has lots of saliva! Not sure why either. How are you feeding her? X

My little girl is nearly 9 weeks and we've noticed excess saliva from around 6/7 weeks. My HV said it's because babys digestive system is developing more around this age and so they produce more saliva, she said its nothing to worry about! 😊

My little one did around 6 weeks too, he had a cold so I put it down to that but clearly seems to be a normal thing 😅

I noticed this that with my 7 week old!

I’ve noticed this too with my 7 week old! I’ve read that it’s to do with the digestive system adapting x
