Missing pregnancy

Anyone else missing pregnancy? My little girl is 14 weeks today and I can’t help but miss all the excitement from preparing and the scans and appointments (except for the GD one 🤮) waiting to find out the gender, clothes buying and all that! I drove by the hospital I gave birth at earlier and can’t help but miss the experience! Despite having preeclampsia and being in hospital over Christmas, I had the most relaxed labour! So much so I cried over my midwife when I got home because I missed her 😂😂 a part of me wants to get pregnant again just to see her as weird as that sounds 😂😂😂 I’m soaking in all the time I have with my daughter but at the same time I can’t wait to give her a sibling 🥹🥹

Nope I don't miss being pregnant 😂

I loved it too! My brother and SIL are expecting their second and as soon as they sent the scan photo it all came flooding back 🥺

@Jess a friend of mine has her first scan next week and it’s like…I would so do it again! But to be fair I feel like I was robbed of the excitement in the first trimester so it would be nice to feel that

I literally watch a TikTok today this girl posted about if you due in December this is what it will look like it all came flooding back that I really miss it

Absolutely not 🤣 never again!

Not at all!!!

This is the most unrelatable post I had ever seen. Pregnancy was absolute hell on earth for me 😂 I’m so happy I’m NEVER doing that again! Second time round was so bad. So so bad.

@Jess I can confidently say you’re not the only one 😂 I’m so sorry your second pregnancy was awful 😭 it does kind of scare me to go for a second in case it is bad. (I had little to no symptoms the whole first trimester including sickness) but I know I want to give my daughter a sibling/siblings so I’m willing to overlook the fear 😂

Well yeah my first was an absolute breeze to be honest. But I think age was a factor as I was 34 compared to 29, and more unfit/unhealthy to be honest! The labour was way better than the first though. My body just struggled to cope with pregnancy this time round - pelvic girdle pain (my pelvis was literally disintegrating and some days I couldn’t get out of bed), diastasis recti (stomache will never be the same again), sickness so bad i was on medication even though I had nothing with my first pregnancy, hypertension high blood pressure, cholestasis (dont recommend this one for sure - intense itching all over all night drove me insane), gestational diabetes (the worst!!! Who wants to be on a healthy diet when pregnancy?! For months??) and ended with preeclampsia’s so induction 👍 but sibling love is the best

@Jess I’m only 25 and planning number 2 before I’m 30🙈 I had pgp and preeclampsia with this pregnancy however the pgp didn’t hit until about the last 6 weeks and the preeclampsia didn’t hit until 37 weeks. However I think the worst part of my whole pregnancy this time round was the mental state I was in during my 1st trimester. (Was told I couldn’t conceive naturally so didn’t actually believe I was pregnant and was in complete utter denial too the point everyone around me was excited but I was like…..yeah no) honestly I couldn’t imagine with GD! I lived of maccies brekkie and cake as that’s all I craved 😂😂 the insomnia wasn’t fun I must say. I’m so sorry you went through that though! No wonder you’re happy it’s over!

@Billie-Jo yes i had the same experience!

I would so do it over again I have two my oldest is three and it was awful because of COVID never getting to have my partner at scans or family coming to hospital to meet him and also having to wear masks around my own baby , but then having my daughter was so much better apart from all of the complications and having C-section but getting to see family meet her and my son meeting her was magical and funny when he came with his own suitcase with his stuff in to be like his mammy.

@Lucy oh that is too cute 😭😭🩷🩷 I feel like covid babies really missed out on so much it’s quite sad! But at the same time I bet parent anxiety was through the roof!

Aw it was awful I had someone just pick him up when he was weeks old and I went off it I didn't even know the person either but they said it's because he was crying and needed a cuddle

@Lucy is be doing that now! I’d be catching a bloody case if someone touched my baby without permission

I miss it, I miss all the excitement! I want to do it all over again! And I honesty can’t wait too one day! Xx

Yes, loved being pregnant. However, I’m enjoying this postpartum a little past 3 months and feel my hormones have finally balanced out. Hormones are the worst!
