TW miscarriage

TW: Miscarriage Today I had an appointment with the early maternity unit following a miscarriage on Monday. I did some tests afternoon Tuesday and they were negative. I told the nurse at my appointment and she said that’s good because it means I’m over the worst and embryo must be gone so won’t need any more checks. I just did one on a strip this evening and I’m worried I can see the faintest line. I might be seeing things but now I’m disheartened as I want to start trying asap. Will it go? 😭 it’s only been two days since the miscarriage and I am still bleeding so hopefully by next week I’ll not be questioning the tests?

Yeah it can take a while for the hcg to disappear completely - sounds positive that tests are faint / virtually negative . If in a few weeks you think you can still see a vvfl ask the epau to scan you to make sure that there is no remaining tissue present . Really sorry for your loss Laura xx just had one myself and had surgery it’s been tough :( Praying for some rainbow baby dust to come our way xx

❤️❤️❤️thank you! Wish I’d not done the test as had a negative digital and cheap Tesco one. I thought it was an ovulation strip but was a pregnancy one. So sorry, it’s not for the faint hearted. I feel so empty and think the only way I’m going to feel better is when I’m pregnant again and it sticks 🩷
