Pt have the right to refuse any care. However if it’s for the babies health they may ask you to sign something stating that you refuse or drop you as a pt because they don’t want to take the risk. But there’s something that you would have to really look into with your doctor.

As Elizabeth said, you CAN refuse. But gestational diabetes untreated can have devastating results, so I really wouldn't recommend skipping. If you're worried about the drink itself, there are alternatives and you can ask your doctor or do some research on them, but I truly do think it's in the best interest of patient and baby to have the screening done (even if you didn't have it in a prior pregnancy, you could still develop it)

I get knocked out for a week after taking that test and my first 2 pregnancies my doctor's were shit and guilt triped me into doing things I didn't feel comfortable with and my last pregnancy they tried to enduce me at 38 weeks even though I had no complications

I second what @Grace said. There are alternatives to the glucose drink but it's up to your doctor. I had gestational diabetes with my first. As unpleasant as the test is, it's a really important part of taking care of you and your baby both before and after birth. There's a lot of complications that can arise especially if GD is left unmanaged.

If you don't want to do the glucose drink, talk to your doctor about other options. You could just measure your blood sugar regularly for a certain timeframe too.
