When to tell family we’re expecting

I told my family straight away (we found out at 3+5) :) I’d want them to be there for me if anything did happen

We’re having our first scan next weekend and I’ll be 6+4 and then we’ll tell family

I told people who were very close to me as soon as we found out. Other family still don't know and I'm 13 weeks, but it's not a secret from them, just wanted to make sure everything was alright at scan first and wanted to tell them in person. It is right to tell people whenever you feel it is right for you. We didn't have any private scans this time, so that's why we have waited first x

We told family and close friends during Mother’s Day as a little surprise for everyone! I was 5 weeks and no scans x

I told my Mum, Dad and sisters right away 😆 some people at work from 7 weeks (as I've been suffering with morning sickness). And my partner's family we will tell around 9 weeks as we happen to have a family gathering then. I personally think it's sad that we all feel the need to wait until 12 weeks. It's a personal choice, but I think it means that women can be forced to suffer in silence if the worst does happen, so I was comfortable with telling straight away ♥️ but some people I guess would prefer the space

We’ve told everyone already and I’m 7+4. We told everyone super early with my first too. We definitely wanted to tell people early this time because my nausea has been so bad and running around after a one year old has been hard so wanted all the extra help we could get!
