Kennel cough vaccine
I’ve been advised by the vets that my dog can’t have his kennel cough vaccine yet as we have a 4 week old baby at home. They can’t advise when he can have it as they can’t make that call apparently.
Has anyone else been through this? How old was your baby when your dog had the vaccine?

I'm right there with @Heather I've been in the vet field for 7 years and never heard of anything like this. How old is your dog?
My dogs 5 years old but my baby is nearly 5 weeks old. The vets have said that that it’s not recommended to have the vaccine with a newborn in the house as the vaccine strain can be shed for a period and babies have weaker immune systems. They even said our dog could have the vaccine but he would need to stay elsewhere for a couple of days 🤦♀️
In the vet field and have NEVER heard of this. It makes zero sense

Your dogs vaccines have nothing to do with having a infant/child at home. If they advised you to wait but can't give you an age, that doesn't make sense. I've been in the vet field for over 10yrs, I've never come across this.
