It’s hard to listen to my little man grunt but I know he’s gotta learn too 😭 I feel this
@Allie I wanna cry with him 😩 just hoping a cry will help him let it out
Is the baby breastfed or formula? That makes a big difference. Also did your son poop when they were first born? If they were having an issue since the beginning the hospital was supposed to keep your child. Especially if they didn’t have at least 3 poop diapers.
@Jenna I do break down and do bicycles and leg pushes with him when it sounds too bad
I saw a video about using a tissue, rolling a corner of it to a point, and then tickling the anus. It helps babies focus their attention on their butt.
Pressing on his tummy in a clockwise motion. My LO is going through the same thing (2 weeks old) doctor did that when she wasn't able to poop at the visit and she went almost instantly. When he's trying to push help by doing that or lifting his knees upward.
I have the opposite problem lol, my son poops at least 6x a day! 😂 He’s on Enfamil Gentlease if you need a formula recommendation! We used to use Similac Sensitive 360, but he was having like 10 poops a day on that one, the Enfamil has been much better!
Im going through the same thing 😪 he's almost 4 weeks old and having trouble pooping.
Put about 1-2oz of prune juice in a bottle with the formula or milk and boom be ready
Massaging belly down x
My baby is 4 weeks today and I’ve tried the bicycle rotation, and the belly rub and it’s not working, he’s breastfed
@Abby we are on gentlease 😭😭 hoping not to change this formula we really liked it
@Alana both but more formula
We use similac sensitive to supplement my breast milk and he poops well! We had him on the regular similac and he was having the same issue. The bicycle legs and belly massage worked to some extent before we switched and the gas drops are good, too!
definitely try baby probiotic drops!!!
