My child is a different child at nursery. I’ve tried to replicate everything at home but she bangs toys, it’s crumbs and is a vegetarian at home. At nursery she eats anything and everything, paints, stacks toys, doesn’t throw away the sensory stuff they do etc. I think all the children copy each other and she doesn’t want mummy all the time. My advice would be be kind to yourself and find a local playgroup once or twice a week for £1-2 to get you out the house too and see what she likes doing xxx
Highly recommend the book The Montessori Toddler. There’s a list of activities in the back
They have story time and music time, and they have sensory boxes that are themed. They usually have sand, glitter, water, feathers, and shaving foam. That kind of thing. But really, they just play and the staff work on their motor skills. My baby has learned a bunch of things but I don't think it's because of nursery, I think it's all just at the correct developmental stage.
