Does it make a difference if it’s a second job? I am entitled to maternity pay at my main job. For my first maternity leave I got smp for both jobs as I met the eligibility for both. Can’t work as many hours now I have a toddler too! Wonder if maternity allowance would say I’m not entitled as I have smp from my main job!
Not sure i would imagine it will be capped at £184.03 a week though depends how much you will get from your 1st maybe ask at citizens advice on that ? 🙂
If you’re receiving smp from your main job you cannot receive maternity allowance at the same time
Why would you need both? Like above you wouldn’t be eligible for it
If you work two jobs and meet the eligibility in both employment you are eligible for it for both where smp is concerned. I wasn’t sure about maternity allowance.
I thought it was either one or the other.
So you only have to earn over £30 a week to be eligible, it’s a fairly long form but it’s easy enough to fill out, you will be paid 90% of your weekly wage for the 39 weeks, (they pay every 4 weeks so it falls differently throughout the month it’s not a set date) 🙂
