Educational screen time

Hello all! My 2.5 year old was recently diagnosed. We have gotten a refurbished iPad to use for some educational content in the car to and from OT/SLP appointments. It’s a 45 minute drive one way. Suggestions for learning apps needed! Any shows that your children have enjoyed and maybe helped them mimic actions/words/sounds. Our son is verbal but minimal- like mama, dada, no is about all we have gotten for over a year.

My twins really enjoyed Speech Blubs. I think they learned a lot from it too!

How did you get so fast degnosed please?

@Jurgita I see you’re in the UK. I’m not sure how our health care systems differ. My son was born premature and I have insisted on developmental experts since he was born at 30 weeks gestation. I have had PT/OT/SLP, developmental pediatrician, early intervention, infant mental health specialist, neurology, PMR all keep tabs on my boy! We definitely take breaks from therapies and doctor visits as I don’t want to overwhelm him.

My LO really enjoys Speech Blubs

@Jurgita I live in Hampshire and my boy have assessment next week. I have a lot concerns about his behaviour and development on his 2 year check with hv I ask about it , she try to dismiss my concerns but I press for follow up home visit. She see us beginning January I was well prepared with questions examples how I learn and play with my son ( visit was over 3 hours )same time I spoke with his nursery for referral ( he starts nursery 5.11.24 so wasn't much time but I tell them for what to look out . Second hv visit was 2 weeks after she contacted nursery and February 24 I got letter with appointment what is next week.
