Littles and their rooms

What are some helpful ways to encourage an almost 5 year old to clean her room? We've been trying to do 10 minutes a day. Or I try to get her to focus on like items.

Mine loves money to I pay her base off her age u clean ur room u get 5 her sister is 2 so I do ok touch up the room for 2 dollars its helped us a lot

Depends on the level of mess, but we do a clean up time as part of his daily quiet time on non-school days. We have a hatch and set it to turn purple for clean up time. If his room is absolutely destroyed we start with picking up one category of toys then take a break (10 mins)if he’s overwhelmed by the amount of stuff to do or move on to the next category of this until it’s clean.

I make it fun for my son! We set a timer and see if he can beat the timer. I also will help him clean and we see who can get it done Faster! He loves doing this

I basically just have to sit and give her directions or she gets distracted and it never gets done. It's an easy way to keep them off devices for the weekend to tell them no screens until rooms are clean and if I don't intervene it just won't get done. Trying to take a few minutes before bed each night, but since I've been pregnant it tends to get messier than it should.

Monopoly money that she can exchange for “sweets” like little Debbie snacks which are a more “special snack” than goldfish and fruit. Or we take away electronics time until it’s clean, we want her to know that any kind of electronics is a privilege when daily chores are a priority
