@Charlotte that’s so adorable, thanks and good luck with yours too x
My c section is booked tomorrow and equally I am so nervous about not knowing what to expect! I just keep telling myself that so many mums have c sections so have to trust the process x
@Alice yeah it’s impossible not to get anxious when it’s really close, but will try to stay positive and hope only for the best and pray all goes well. Think about how others have gone through it and come out well. Wishing you a smooth delivery and recovery tomorrow x
I have my section booked for Wednesday! I’m trying to do things to take my mind off it for now but overall I feel calm and so excited to meet the baby!! Xx
Good luck you will be fine, surround yourself with support and you will get through recovery 💪💪
I had my second section last Wednesday. Good luck - you will be absolutely fine! X
Thanks @Bec congratulations, how has recovery been for you?
I also had my second section on Wednesday. It was a really positive experience overall! Happy to answer any questions x
Overall fairly easy - especially in comparison with my first (which was an emergency). Take the medication, rest as much as you can, and don’t push yourself too much and you’ll be grand! X
@Jprc Congratulations, did you get a catheter in? I know you’re numb waist down but it’s the thought of everything that makes my heart skip and having a wound after. I know we have to stay on top of the meds but do you not still feel the pain ? I’m trying not to freak out so my bp doesn’t go over. I know I’m going to have a positive experience and pray so but I just can’t help but panic lol
I had my C-section today it’s honestly not bad at all currently staying over now the wait which was horrible so definitely bring stn to keep u occupied came in for 11 there was 2 of us to have ours the first girl went up at 2 she’s currently at home now and I had my little boy at 5 definitely suggest u wake up early to eat something as I have been so hungry all day I got toast once I had him up in recovery definitely bring you own food snacks and drinks av just had my cafatar or how ever u spell it out and have til 4 to wee for them they keep you on top of medication which is amazing , also I had my first little girl on my birthday in 2023 wouldn’t change a thing because now I know people won’t forget my birthday 😂😂 but honestly it’s not bad good luck hope it goes well for you 🥰🥰
Yeah they fitted the catheter after I had the spinal, so I couldn't feel anything. It stayed in until the morning after surgery. After having to run to the toilet several times a night during pregnancy it made a nice change not to have to think about it 😅 when the catheter comes out you have to do two wees before they discharge you. That bit I found tricky because while I knew I needed a wee, my brain tried telling me I can't go! But it just took a bit of sitting on the toilet for it to come and then it was fine. Yeah you will still feel some pain despite pain killers. But I'm now on day 5 and have started to only need pain killers every now and again. It's completely normal to feel nervous. Is it a very major surgery after all!! X
Thank you @Bec @Jprc for sharing ❤️ this is reassuring and I’m excited now more than anxious to meet my baby girl and share my birthday with her. I know everything will be fine by God’s grace x
Good luck!!! 😍
Mine is a week Wednesday, but I just wanted to comment because my first was born on my birthday and it’s the best thing ever! He gets so excited about it and loves that we share a birthday 🥰 good luck! Xx
