You can use normal porridge oats, rolled oats, weetabix
Organix is dairy free, but tbh like everyone else has said it’s easier and much cheaper to just use normal oats! If you’re wanting a smoother consistency then you can either blend the oats down or use ready brek x
Thanks. I’ve been advised to wean a bit early so baby is 5 months now. Are these ok to use from 5 months or am I best waiting? It’s such a minefield! 🫠🫠
At first try introducing through weetabix you can even mix a fruit pouch in (I used half a pouch for an 8 month old) to make the fruit porridges
You can buy ready brek porridge which is smooth. That’s what I use ☺️
I just checked and it says “may contain milk”. Have you been advised by a professional to avoid may contain? Normally babies that have CMPA can have may contain. We were advised by our dietician to only avoid products that contain milk
So we’re still awaiting a dietician to see us. But baby has recently failed the milk challenge the GP asked us to try so they said to avoid May contains for now
Ah okay. In that cases maybe try quaker porridge oats?
Organix is good as it’s vegan. You can also blend some oats up yourself if you want and add a fruit puree to it to make it sweeter as it’s quite bland and the allergy milk doesn’t give it the best of tastes x
I weaned from 5.5 months old (4.5 months corrected) as advised by a paediatrician but we just went straight onto veg purées instead but like I’ve mentioned above there is some options for porridge x
Traditional rolled oats don’t contain milk 😊 I make my little ones with banana and cinnamon too xx
I use holle organic oat my baby is 5.5 months
Sainsbury’s have their own brand porridge without milk. It’s the first stages one. I’ll find a pic.
Thanks everyone! I’ve picked up a couple of options today x
I use normal porridge oats, rusks ans weterbix
