Hi, the same thing happened to me last week at my midwife appointment when I was 28+2, except my bump has grown. I've been booked in for a scan this coming Friday. My midwife told me not to worry but naturally I am - you're not alone.
@Gemma thank you so much. This is reassuring. Did you get results the same day? Xx
They talked me through all the measurements as they did the scan and then I got a scan report at the end to add to my notes so knew the results there and then ☺️ They should let you know at the appointment because then they’ll either book a follow up scan to check growth again and see a consultant or essentially discharge you back to the midwives if all is good ☺️ xx
At my 28w midwife appointment my bump was measuring small putting baby estimated at 3rd percentile. Went for a growth scan a few days later and their measurements said all look good and she was 49th percentile. The bump measurements are not very accurate, try not to worry 😊
I measured small on the 10th percentile at my 28 week appointment. Went for a growth scan 3 days later and they measured baby on the 12th percentile, and said it wasn’t anything to worry about! My first baby measured on the 80th percentile but she was born 7lb 9oz which is pretty normal! :) they can get it completely wrong so I wouldn’t worry! :) xx
Hey! I had an urgent growth scan booked after my 28 week appointment as my bump was below the 5th percentile. I was scanned the next day and baby was measuring on the 71st percentile and perfect. The bump measurements are notoriously inaccurate and honestly can be down to what position baby is in. Mine is breech currently so literally head up and legs bent back up to their stomach so I just seem to be carrying small, although the past couple of weeks I’ve definitely popped out more. Try not to worry too much, our bodies are so good at holding baby in and even at 28 weeks they can hide pretty well still. Hope you get your scan sorted quickly and get some reassurance, I’m sure baby is absolutely perfect 🤍
