Blood on scan
I had a private scan yesterday and they mentioned they could see a collection of something on the scan, possibly blood. She said it was nothing to worry about but hard not to. Has anyone had this before?
I have text my midwife but no response yet.

I had this with my first, it caused me no problems although I was warned I might bleed (never did), and pretty sure it reabsorbed some point later down the line. I think its quite common.
Yes I’ve had this both at 6 weeks and again at 8.5. They said it measured 1mm and they weren’t concerned. Anything over 2mm and they would be more concerned. If she said nothing to worry about I’m sure it’s fine xx
@Tove oh wow, didn't realise that 2mm was the threshold, just read my notes and one of mine is 15.6 x 5.6mm 😲
@Kat don’t take my word for it but that’s what the lady who did my scan said. Defo check with your doctor xx

I've got 2 large heamatomas which were identified at my IVF viability scan, they're usually nothing to worry about. Hopefully your midwife will come back to you and give you some reassurance
