Group B strep test

Hi y’all. I’m 34 weeks with my 2nd - do you know if you get tested for strep B every pregnancy? I was negative for my first and I have no reason to think I’d be positive this time, just curious.

Yep. They test for all of those every time

This is tested in your urine samples every time x

Yes, you'll get swabbed every pregnancy. Group B strep is transient and just a normal bacteria that lives on the skin, whether or not you test positive can be completely different each pregnancy

Thank you ladies! I tried googling and that went about as well as you’d expect - apparently I’m dying! 🤣🤣 I keep forgetting to ask my dr about it so this is great info. ❤️

Ooh and as a follow up - do you remember when it happened? I want to say 36-37 weeks? (It’s been almost 4 years) I’m delivering 39 weeks due to risk factors.
